Did you know you can now recycle your crisp packets, any make, including the multi-pack wrappers? We now have our own recycling container for church use; by the bins next to the lift.

The Dental Department at Flitwick Clinic are prepared to recycle used tubes of toothpaste, and toothbrushes including the brush heads of electric toothbrushes. Perhaps we could support this scheme.

As a result of attending the BB Unite camp, I felt strongly that God wanted us to ‘strike while the iron was hot' and run the Alpha Youth series. So 4 weeks after Unite we did just that. Steve Thornton-Greet and Hazel Wallis have been joined by Hannah Oliver of Life Church as hosts and Nicky Thornton-Greet and I are helpers. How many we would get? We had 4 guests the first week and 5 the second, which we are happy with.
A fundamental part of any Alpha course is sharing a meal together. We provide pizza and are very grateful for the cakes church members have so far provided. It would be good to have a list of people willing to provide cakes so we can share the burden.
Most importantly I'd like to thank those who have been praying for all those involved. Please continue to pray, especially on Monday evenings when we meet (7.15 to 9), that the evening will run smoothly but, most importantly, that the guests will respond positively to the video and discussion and eventually come to Christ. We plan to meet every Monday in September and October.

If you run a group - or are involved in a group - that uses our premises, please be aware that you need to complete a Risk Assessment. Church Council has agreed that risk assessments will be presented to the meeting in October 2019, and circulated prior to this in September. If I haven't already contacted you, please see me for a template and return to me by 22 September 2019. Thank you, Helen
